  • Americans are by all measures a deeply religious people, but they are also deeply ignorant about religion. This isn’t surprising, and my guess would be that these results would be similar everywhere, not just in America. Also not surprising (because I’ve read about this subject previously) is the fact that atheists and agnostics scored higher in their knowledge of religion than all of the religious people.
